The earliest known owner of this lot was James Munday.
The earliest known (to me) building on this site was Jarvis Hoult's [[../hotels/terminal.html|Pearlers Hotel]], in 1887. It was succeeded ten years later by the Terminal Hotel, designed by [[../people/eales.html|Joseph Eales]].
