Gino's
Western corner of South Terrace and Market Street.
The trattoria and coffeeshop was started by Luigi (Gino) Saccone in 1983. Before that he worked for 22 years in the same building, but as a tailor, for Sorrento Mens Wear.

Gino's was established by Luigi Saccone (popularly known as Gino) around 1983.

History
Established by 1900, and at that time the building was occupied by a pawnbrokers, cycle depot, tobacconist and bookseller.
Currently (2002), Gino's, and Marconi cafes.
Statement of Significance
The place is of historic significance as an example of a commercial building in the Old Port City of Fremantle dating from the gold boom period in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. The place is a significant landmark in the Old Port City of Fremantle. The building is not highly intact and recent fabric is not significant. The place is of social significance as part of Fremantle's cappuccino strip.
Physical Description
Single storey rendered and truncated corner building (wraps the corner, into Market Street), has a zero setback from the pavement at the South Terrace side and a further setback at the corner; where there is al fresco dining under a covered area. The parapet has balustrades with piers and decorative pinnacles, there are three pediments; below the corner pediment is a stucco figure head and swag. The corrugated iron veranda awning, is probably not original, there are two recessed entrances.
