Yeldham House, Bardrop House, Cottage
These three buildings were on Lot 300 (currently Shack Motors buildings) in Queen Victoria Street (formerly Cantonment Road) above Beach Street.
Yeldham House was briefly the residence of the family of C.Y. O'Connor for a few months from January 1893. (Evans)
Yeldham House is probably named after the family name of James Manning's wife, Jane Yeldham. Which suggests that he built it, as well as Bardrop/Burdrop House (and Cottage) on the same site. Bardrop House was James Manning's residence.
Bardrop House was at 83 Cantonment Road - later 56 Queen Victoria Street.
The original Bardrop is in Oxfordshire - except that it's spelt Burdrop. James Manning was born there.
Rev. Robert Hanlin's family was living in Bardrop Cottage in 1890. He was the founder of the Scots Presbyterian Church (in South Terrace). (Erickson)

Founded Scots Presbyterian Church, Fremantle (first services in Oddfellows & Town Halls). 1890 lived at "Burdrop Cottage". 1897 bought land at Bedfordale & built house "Mt Paradise". Educ. Glasgow University & Free Church College, Glasgow. Presb.
