Slavin Architects

Murray Slavin, principal

Slavin Architects' major projects in Fremantle include the renovation of the Dalgety building, one of the most significant buildings in town. The project included the design and construction of a completely new building (one of very few in the West End) in Cliff Street, adjoining and intercalated with the historic Dalgety Building.

Another similar and equally important piece of work, also involving conservation of heritage as well as the design of a new building adjoining and sympathetic to the older, is the 'Old Courthouse' hospitality premises in Henderson Street.

They also designed the Rialto Apartments at 44 High Street which won the Heritage Award for Urban Infill 2005.

Slavin Architects studio is in Pearse Street North Fremantle (photo from the website).
