Star and Garter
Location unknown. All that we know of this place is from one sentence in Erickson's Toodyay book, where she writes, "The Nardie grant was taken up James Lloyd, proprietor of 'The Star and Garter' at Fremantle" (10-11). Lloyd selected 4000 acres at Toodyay in 1832, having arrived at Fremantle 28 December 1831 on the Egyptian – which suggests the date of 1832 (only) for the short-lived hotel.
