Scott Wise

Luthier and musician, Scott Wise is the son of Premier Frank Wise (1897-1986) who was Labor Member for Gascoyne, and premier 1945-47.

He and his then wife Louisa Wise both played in Bungarra, c. 1980-2000. After one recording with that band (Harbour Lights) they made several as a duo: Waltzing Louisa, Winter Beach, Fiddlewood.

Scott also led his own band, The Ten Cent Shooters, who have released five CDs. Peter Woodward was a member.

When he was working as a luthier in Fremantle, his workshop was the former Dux factory in Quarry Street. He's now based in Margaret River.

His sister, Rose Wise Pinter, when a Fremantle City Councillor until c. 2000, was instrumental in the development of Booyeembara Park.
