Round House Guides

The Fremantle Volunteer Heritage Guides, established 1998, are a group of about thirty people who welcome visitors to the Round House, the former prison at the western end of Fremantle High Street on Arthur Head. The men and women also raise and lower the flags every day and participate in the firing of the 1pm time gun, while lowering the timeball. The Volunteers have their own heritage cottage at 14 Mrs Trivett Place, north of the Round House. They open the Round House every day of the year except Good Friday and Xmas Day.
