Glasson Park

Glasson Park is on the corner of Glyde and George Streets East Fremantle, and was once the site of Herbert Baker's butchery - which extended to Hubble Street (where the East Freo Kindy now is) - until it burnt down in 1933. It may have remained unbuilt on, and became a park. The Glyde-In centre is next door.

C. Glasson was a health inspector for the Municipal Council in 1909, so perhaps the Park was named for him. (West Australian, Tuesday 4 May 1909, p. 4)
