William Beacham
BEACHAM (BEECHAM), William, b. 1794. d. 28.12.1875, arr. 6.10.1829 per Lotus, one of Col. Lautour's party, with wife Mary Ann b. 1795 d. 1830 at Clarence. Chd. Jane b. 1818, Reuben b. 1820 d. 1832 killed by Aborigines at Greenmount, James b. 1823 d. 1895, Levi b. 1826, Elizabeth b. 1828. Farm servant, stock agent for Charles Browne 1842. Owned land on Murray River "Jim Jam" at Pinjarra where coal was discovered 1846, but it lacked commercial potential.
