Co-builder of Fremantle goal [Rsoundhouse] 30.12.1830 & appointed Police Constable 3.3.1831 & tide waiter, in business as an auctioneer 1833. His widow carried on the business as a general dealer, but heavy debts caused loss of land.
Listed in the 1832 census: 28, Devonshire, merchant, self; Harriet, 30; Richard Jnr 6 months.
