Giuseppe and Anna Scolaro
The Scolaros emigrated from Capo d’Orlando, Sicilia, in 1949 and set up the Universal Terrazzo Tile Factory in Blinco Street in 1952. The factory produced tiles 1950s-1970s, though Mr Scolaro died when he was only 54 and his wife Anna carried on the business for the next decade.
