Port School
Port School is an alternative secondary school which started upstairs in a commercial building in Leake St, central Freo, and then moved to a squash courts building in Carrington St Hamilton Hill. Its street address is now 62 Wheeler Rd, at more or less the same location. One of the founders was Lois Achimovich, and Kevin Gillan was an early principal.
This unprepossessing door in the building on the corner of Leake and Market Streets was the entrance to the first location of Port School.
