Town Lot 65

The Original town lots were surveyed by J.S. Roe in 1829.

One of the original town lots laid out by J.S. Roe in 1829.

All of the buildings in this part of Henry Street, Lots 64-72, are occupied (if not also owned) by the University of Notre Dame Australia.

The earliest owner of Lot 65 known to Hitchcock was Eliz MacFaull. She was very likely to have been Eliza MacFaull, wife of Charles, an early newspaper editor, of the Perth Gazette, 1831-, having arrived per Charles Lambe on 24 August 1830. After his death she carried on the business of editing, printing, and as postmaster, for seven years.
